Stop Spam

How about stopping all this spam?? It seems to be getting worse.

I know from some other BB's that spam problems are increasing on all BB's. There are apparently some sophisticated automated spamming programs now.
I know of one BB that has had to prohibit new members from posting until the owner or select moderators checked out the new member and made sure they were people, not spambots.
