Default What are y'alls favorite Civil War general?
Hey who has a favorite general of the Civil War? Mine is James Longstreet and Robert E. Lee all the way, so let's hear y'alls favorites! :P

Least Favorite Generals:
US: Dan Sickles
CS: JB Hood

Favorite officer any rank:
US Col Arthur Devereaux (19th MA)

Favorite CS General: William N. Pendelton
Favorite US General: Yeah right!!!! LOL! (but...I suppose I'd pick Joseph Hooker)

Well, this is a real hard one. There are many that I like but I would have to say either Nathan B. Forrest or Stonewall Jackson.

It can't be anyone but Forrest. Although, I admire Stugis for being able to run so fast.

For the Southern cause, In my opinion, I really like James Longstreet! He was a well rounded military leader who the north dreaded to engage. For the Union, I would have to lean towards William T. Sherman. Just my thought's on the topic. scott

CS General Jo Shelby. Definetely underrated due to him being in the Western theter of the war.
