I've been out of the loop folks due to a work trip, but Bill and I just had a nice, and of course long , chat. He sounds really good -- actually better than he did when the strain of all this was wearing on him when we talked for a couple hours a week or so ago.

Anyway, Bill asked me to tell you all how much he appreciates your support. He is not in a place where he can get online and respond directly right now, but should be by the weekend. If anyone wants to reach out to him directly then, he said to please do so.

He also reiterated his plans to see many of us at the Nashville Show in a little less than 4 weeks. Right now, I know of about 6 or 8 folks definitely going and 3-4 fence sitters (like Danny, ahem). As it gets closer, I'll be posting an option or two for us all to get together and, like Bill, look forward to putting faces to the screen names.

Take care guys,

Mike

Default Gratitude to All

Each and All -

I had heard that many of you had sent your concerns and or condolences over the past week, depending upon when and what you had heard. I hated to be out of touch with so many of you but after we closed Mom's apartment out I had a really difficult time with old "AOL" and had little access at all over the past week or 10 days.

Mom passed last Sunday about 7:15 or so, and she is far better off now than at any point in the past few weeks. I thank you all for your thoughts and kind remarks, and I can assure you that my Mother would be deeply appreciative.

Very Best Regards,

Bill

Default Gratitude for Condolences

To all who have expressed concern:

Thank each and all of you for your kind remarks - all are deeply appreciated. It has been a long year and Mom had long since reached the point of surrendering her place in this world. She was in the hospital 202 days between mid-February and 5 November. I think that as of this week I made 10 trips to Tupelo/Verona this year and have thus been a bit slow to respond to many kind gestures.

To those of you who contributed to the Verona Cemetery Restoration Fund let me thank you on behalf of the entire family. Verona Cemetery has a number of CS graves sites and was the site of the re-burial of W. H. Grist, CSA, just this year. Mom was very much interested in that project.

Again, Thanks to all. We're fine.

Bill
