Can anyone verify that this is a pistol lockplate. It looks like one to me. Might be a flintlock lockplate but not sure. Found it at a place where I've been finding some civil war relics.
I found a Enfield bullet yesterday that had a dot and the number 5 in the base. I thought it should have either / or but not both. Am I right or is the dot just a dot and has nothing to do with the number 5?
