20 POUND PARROTT

Hello All,
Ain't nobody posting much of anything, so I recon you'll have to put up with my tripe. (Your fault, not mine...I'm full of it).

On May 6, 1991, I dug this ground-burst 20# Parrott and shrapnel along with three 3" Hotchkiss bases out of the same hole at Port Gibson, MS. Heck of a battle there. My hunting partner found a very nice 3" Hotchkiss (flame grooved type) complete with lead sabot.

If no one else starts posting ANYTHING then I'll bore you near about death with some of my other relic hunts. Yes, this is a threat. Roger (RAWWAR) has found much more then meself. And what about JimT up Gettysburg way? I know he has had some really good hunts?

What do our newer Forum member have to offer? Personally, I love relic hunting hunting stories. One of my friends was almost attacked by a bear! At least he said such was the case.

Too hot to hunt and the grass is too high anyway...

Gary,

Keep the stories coming. I always like to hear them. Wish I had some of my own!
