A simple question (?)

I just purchased a 12 lb. ball and want to put it on an oak stand with a informational plaque. Is there something more interesting to say about it than "12 lb. Solid Shot"? I will, of course, add the battlefield and dates.

"12-pounder" or "12pdr" would be more appropriate than "12 lb"
