Have any of y'all seen Blackhawk Down? Some reenactor friends and I are going tonight. The book was very good. The movie is supposed to be pretty intense.

Haven't seen BLACKHAWK Down yet, but if anyone what's info on the helo, I make them (really, in Stratford, CT).

You know what's really weird? Those brave soldiers that died in that chopper accident over there was almost the same senerio as the movie! A soldier fell out of the chopper when it was trying to avoid taking fire.

There are only so many ways to do an ambush on a helo. I am only speculating. I am not an expert and do not have inside knowledge, but ther only a few ways to ambush a helo and only a few ways to respond to such attack. With any responds, it would be hard on anyone trying leave the helo at the time of attack.



My heart goes out to all the families of these soldiers. Hopefully we don't loose any more guys and gals over there.
