I have been trying to figure out how to maintain my collection in some way that allows me to look at all of the bullet(s) without handling and getting skin oil all over them. Also, chipping is a problem especially when one is clumsy and tends to drop things as frequently as I do. So this has been my temporary solution until I can build some mirrored display racks. My next set of Avery-style (these are Z International brand) will be a little larger than the 1/2 X 3/4 inch size just so I can have more room to spell out the battlefield names.

I used one label on each side (back to back to minimize the visibility issues) - am still experimenting with it all but M&M #, source name, how obtained (gift, trade, buy, eBay, etc), accession date, battlefield, data can all be accommodated in the small area available on these labels. And if you can see the difference in the labels on mine you'll know why I want to DIGITALLY PRINT the individual labels.

Bullet Storage

Well, figured I might as well finish the job and with this posting any thoughts any of you might have had about my being a serious collector.

This box will grow, and in many cases the drawers are interchangeable for my future endeavors. Some of these parts boxes have different sized drawers and you can get them large enough for some really sizable relics. And they stack, are stable, etc.

'Nuff said.

Very nice Bill. You should label those drawers with bullet types, like carbine or 3 ringer or pistol. Saves time digging through the drawer to find a bullet!

I thought that was Crack for a second there.

I still can't figure out a good way to display my stuff. Although I write directly on the bullet, date/place. I stopped writing what type of bullet it was, for obvious reasons. I was wrong alot of times.

I do use your method with baggies for teaching in our schools. I used it mostly because of the lead factor. I didn't want any kid putting them in their mouth, or residue on their hands. The little glass frames posed a glass danger with the smallest of youngins.
