Here are the pieces from Mossy Creek and other Artillery that I dug at the end of last week-weekend. Thanks for looking, Scott

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. I used the Zinc Lye method. I was able to get about 20 lbs of zinc bars from a friend back in South Jersey who works at a large marina. He cut most of the pieces down to 2" and sent me all the shavings in a large empty pill bottle. I assume the way I do this process is the norm. Basically I cover the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket with the zinc bars, then place all the iron on top, sprinkle a decent amount of the shavings, add the lye, and add boiling hot water. Most of the iron that comes out of the ground here takes about a week. If the process doesn't need to be done again, I rinse all the iron and let dry about a day before using Krylon Clear coat spray paint. I like this method because it stops working when the rust is removed. Thanks for asking, Scott 8)
