Post Civil War 45-50 , but I unsure of the number. They are 45-50 caliber 1870 era bullets that were used a Springfield rifle/carbine. I will look it up tonight.

On further review, I would have to say the two at the bottom left might be CW - do they have a cavity?

Hi, I am greatful to all that tried to figure these bullets out, I dug these at a new campground, when I say campground, I mean used to day for recreation, not a CW, this is by a river, that was damed up in the 1960s or so, oldest coin I have found there is just a 1960, could these be a new bullet that was put into a copper cover of something, first I assumed they were minie balls, but they are 3/8" in diameter, and the two big type are almost half inch, so I assume they are 44 caliber or so, in the base of the two,are filled with something which actually might be lead filled inside, I really can not say, I was going to throw these away, as I later assumed they were a much later bullet then from then, I looked at some spots on the web but could not find a match for them, the majority of these seem to have four rings, which I have not seen before, a very little patina, which might in my mind, be much newer, but I am a novice when comes to this sort of thing, also, is this possible that there could have been

some renacting done where I found these, and these might be newer, ty, James

James,

I am not sure of the ID on the two on the left lower quad area. They are pretty interesting. I would very much like some better pictures of them if possible and some measurements. The more exact the better. I will do my best to ID them further.
