I have received an email request to ID a rifle. I have requested more photos, but this is all I have for now.

"Have a rifle that has baffled everyone that I know. I would appreciate any information you have on MINIE B; S.C. 98. This rifle has a barrel that is 15" with an overall length of 49".It has a "firing rod" approx. 19" that extends from the hammer to nipple on barrel. Also has a 3 digit number stamped on each individual screw as well as a circle with "C.C." stamped on it.
Attachment is a scan of the Minie B mark located apporx 1.25" above were the barrel attaches with a screw to the rest of the rifle."
