Hey everyone,

We need to try to keep one thread alive for ALL the logging in/out problems. It getting too scattered out.

If someone is contacting you by Email because they can't log in, mail them these simple steps. Then post if they tried them or what they have tried.

Assuming your firewall etc settings have not changed try this.

This is for IE users. Im curious if all the problems are only in IE?

1) Clear ALL browser Files/history/cookies. You can go into your cookie file and just delete cwbullet.org cookies if you don't want to erase other website cookies.
2) While under "tools/net options/privacy/advanced, 3rd party cookies ENABLED.
3) Make sure you have the lastest Sun Java instaled. Also under tools.
4) Try to log in.

Post results.

I hope this can help someone!

I only get the "Bug" error, sometimes.

Frank,

I spoke to one member, and traded emails with another yesterday, and they had tried the Browser "Clean-up" as you had earlier suggested. I don't remember specifically addressing the "enabling 3rd party cookies" and latest Java installation. However these guys are well versed in their computer use, and I would think they had tried all they knew to do.

I use Windows XP Home Addition here, and do have some problems.... the De Bug Error on more occasions than not. But, I can click on the Forum Tab after that Error Message, and it'll take me back to the Forum.... with my post having been made.

Has anything been modified on the site... added or deleted.... that would have caused the problems that we are experiencing?

Thanks and take care,

Kim

Somethings been done Im sure, I just don't know what, because Ive noticed spam bots have had a harder time getting in.

We had problem long time ago with , Staying Logged In. Clearing your browser solved that.

Im only guessing Chuck may have changed something in the log in that effected a certin type PC/browser/network configuration?

I have the same problem you have. I get the bug on the first post, but after that, no errors until the next day or so.

I only run google popup blocker and Zonealarm free version firewall . No windows or any other virus/firewall stoppers. Im on a linksys router and cable modem.

XP Pro, IE 6.0.2 Is what Im running.

Hmmmmmm...... I'm wondering now that if something has been done to keep the Spybots down...... if that may have also done something that keeps our other friends out as well. I don't know anything about how a program might work that would eliminate Spybot attacks, but would think it had some ISP Number recognition or something going on. Could this have affected those that cannot log on to our site here?

Thanks,

Kim
