A group of cached German ID tags. I reported them to the authorities. Apparently no soldier was reported missing. Probably all survived the war.

A 19. century pinfire revolver hidden in May 1945. When US soldiers arrived in Bavaria they ordered the population to turn in all weapons. Many people preferred to dig their weapons instead.

This item was found at a farm that played a role in a battle of the era of Napoleon. Therefore I searched the premises. The farmer, born 1940, told me that his father concealed the revolver in 1945. When the farmer was a boy he tried in vain to find the weapon using a steel probe. Well, he did not have a metal detector. He allowed me to keep the weapon.

Coin for size comparison only.

Well, let us close the show with this cached Mauser HSc pistol. When found the weapon was completely loaded. 8 bullets in the magazine, 1 bullet in the chamber. Spare magazines, loose bullets, cleaning equipment, etc..

So much for this. Hope you enjoyed the pictures! If someone is interested in anything special please let me know.

Bye,
Thorsten
