My find today 05-05-2007

Went digging today back to one of my old burned out spots! About an hour into the hunt my machine signaled out like big iron but the meter went into the green zone. I dug down and flipped over the dirt that exposed several pieces of rusty hog wire and this pretty brass item. Even though it has a few nicks & dings, it's still a keeper for me and my first marked CS plate! Very excited and happy but the wreath wasn't found today :-( ! It was found in a pasture that I'd found a few bullets, part of a brass stirrup, a complete but mangled spur & several pieces of aluminum cans a few year ago. The only other for sure CW relic found today was a shot .69 round ball.

WTG. Man that is one nice buckle. Still looking for my first. Have had problems lately getting time to hunt. Will be in Corinth Wed. but don't think I will have any spare time. Found a spot on Wenasoga road that looks promising. Just need the time to look. Keep digging those finds. Keeps my hopes high to know there still may be one in the area.
