Original 1860 Colt 44

I hope someone can help with research on my Great Grandfathers pistol. I have only found info on some Colts, but not one like mine. It is a civilean model, nickle plated, 4 screw, S/N 152** mfg 1864. Matching S/n's except wedge, "T" marking, round cylinder with naval scene dated 16 may 1643. NRA very good condition. Colt archive could only provide info to #14000 and were pretty rude actually. Been to over a hundred web sites looking, any help would be much appreciated.

A lot of colts documents were destroyed when the confederates burnt down the old factory.check the Flayderman's weapons book if you can,it has a lot of serial # and info.good luck and can you post a pic :D i love the old guns!!!
