I use it and find it works well in fields. Haven't used it in woods, but don't see why it wouldn't do OK. I hunt in all metal and check the ID meter. In a real junky area, I probably would use the DE mode, Disc. about 2 or 3, Sens at 80-90, depending on what the conditions would allow, with two tones. Bullets generally will come in at the 50-60 rang. The dreaded shotgun shells will generally come in the 30-40 range, as will small bullets. I try to judbe the size of the object and if it seems "large" compared to a small bullet, I'd pass on it. Unfortunately, I'm guessing buttons fall into that range, as well, so, one should probably dig anythin 30 or higher. I like it for relics. Wish it had a larger coil. When they come out with one, it will be my primary machine and the Nautily DMC II b will be my backup. Right now the Nautilus with the 15" coil will have an depth advantage over the F-75 with it's 11" coil. Plus, you can cover ground quicker with a 15" coil. IThe F-75 stands up well, and is a lot lighter than most relic machines. Give it a try.

Jimmy, just got an F70 through a trade-in and I'm starting to play with it. Seems real promising, so I probably will buy an F75 as my primary and the F70 will be my backup and my wife's machine when she decides to hunt with me.

I've still got the MXT. I'm exploring other options. These F series machines seem to offer some advantages that I haven't got with the MXT. The weight is a biggie, but the speed feature on the F70 has me excited because I tested out F70 in my test area of the yard and a buckle I have buried at 11" in our moderate/bad ground actually is detectable with this machine where its real iffy with the MXT. It seems that the option to slow down the speed allows the target to get more fully charged up and makes it easier to increase the depth of detection. Going through the features on this F70, it seems to offer a lot of the same capability I have in the MXT as well. It has an all metal mode that you can combine with different sounds and a VDI readout to put the discrimination in the hands (or mind as were) of the user, thereby allowing maximum depth of detection. My problem has always been that if you use any built-in discrimination, you lose depth and when you're hunting CW sites, especially sites that might have been worked over before, depth is everything (in my opinion).

Absolutely. It is extremely light and very "hot". And yes, keeper buttons usually fall in the same category as the 12th GA. "buttons" that I have found hundreds of :x I love the f75 for coinshooting as well. when I'm at a promising spot, I now have the tendency to dig just about every signal, even iron; you never know what might turn up
