Default Chat Area

Is an active chat script that will allow you to chat (text) something you would use?

Try it at http://cwbullet.org/bb2/

You login is the same. This is a test area that I am using to update the froum to 2.0. I know there are a few bugs.

Default Chat Room

Chuck,

I like the idea for a chat room. I would definitely use it.

I tried it, think it is great and look forward to using it. My only thought is that initially, there is probably only a need for one chat room/topic area as there are not enough folks regularly logged in here to have multiple chats going simultaneously.

Default Chat Room

One thing that seems to work is for someone to pick a topic and a time and announce it on the bulletin board a day or so in advance, that way the members have enough notice and can decide whether they want to participate.

The rest of the time could be catch-as-catch-can.

Default Chat Room

Folks,

I was planning to hang around tonight watching the Washington Caps get crushed yet again. If anybody wants to meet in the chat room either reply to this post or email me at tomh@baymediapro.com.

Default Response

Thanks for the good responses and feel free to use it. I have made several changes to turn off the sounds. They were annoying. I will also make this portion of the site mainstream in about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. I will be taking leave then and plan to get caught up fixing the site.

I agree with having topics. I will work on that over the next two weeks and we can have one each night and we can have soem fun with this and make it educational.

I will be visiting the site Wednesday night at about 10:30 pm if anyone wants to talk about the strangest find they have ever found.

Default Obviously, there is a bug in the chat area.

I am working on fixing the chat area. It is down due to a bug.

Default Found another chat script that is more simple and free.

I will be including a chat script with this update. It is 80% complete. I expect to have it done by friday night. Does anyone have a topic of choice for Friday?

Also, I am 30% complete with a new auction script and member store script a fellow is paying me to write. If all works out in the negogiations, I might be able to put them on this site. The will be less complex than past scripts and more secure.
