Default I have a small question

Have you ever seen a dealer repair an authentic say buckle and sell it for less or even more.

I came a across a box plate the looked great but on the back side the lead filling looked to goo and the hooks had changed a little. The one hook look right but the other was gone and in place was a longer bar for a belt it looked like a repair to me that's why I ask
