Default What is this? Rosette?

Sorry for the dumb question but I can only find this item called a rosette on the net. I don't think thats right. value?

It is indeed a US Cavalry bridle-rosette ...but it dates from the Spanish-American War period to World War One period. Note that it consists entirely of a stamped brass body (it never had a "back," nor any separately-applied attachment device) - just a brass shell with some "fold-over" tabs at its edge for attaching it to the leather horsegear strap.

As to its value... sorry, I do not know dollar-values for Span-Am-to-WW-One relics ...just that it's worth much less than a civil war period US rosette, due to much lower collector-interest.
