Hello,

I'm the author of the book, "Expeditionary Force", from Port Town Publishing. If you like a good adventure yarn with lots of action and an eye on historical detail, I think you'll like this book.

A short synopis:
"Expeditionary Force" tells the story of a war between two primitive alien races, one civilized village dwellers and the other savage nomads. With the Sleebok threatening to overwhelm the Kandirians, the village dwellers are willing grab at any chance to save their civilization from annihilation. An opportunity soon presents itself in the form of a strange portal to another world—a world that turns out to be the state of Georgia in the year 1864. Not only does a Kandirian scholar learn English from a cache of schoolbooks, but he also discovers the advanced weaponry used by Earth troops. The knowledge solidifies the intentions of the Kandirian king; he will ask for human help in the form of troops and weapons. When contact is made with members of the Confederate army, General Joe Johnston agrees to give aid in the form of a small expeditionary force. More soldiers will follow, in exchange for Kandirian gold.
"Expeditionary Force" follows the tribulations of the Southern troops during their campaign against the Sleebok. The Confederate effort to arm the Kandirians with "modern" weapons is only one problem that must be overcome—especially since the Kandirians themselves are distrustful of this strange species called "humans."
