CW Bullet ID help needed

Hi all,

Have this little dropped gem and trying to i.d. Also, have a few fired of the same round...

It was found in Virginia.

See pictures for details. The diameter was obtained by taking 12 separate measurements then getting the average measurement for the diameter.

The bullet you found is a US .54-caliber Billinghearst & Requa "Battery Gun" bullet. That is an extremely rare find ...especially in unfired condition. Congratulations!
