Dug Eagle Breastplate

Hey all. I dug this one this morning. I didn't realize it had an eagle on it until I got home and shot it with the macro lens on the camera. Here's some pictures of it before and after.

Sweet. The only one I have found is in shall we say poor condition. Clay soil is rough on all brass objects. Still looking for a good one.

Do you know of a way to test the acid levels in soil? I've heard this mentioned here before, but I haven't read of any way to quickly test the soils content. I did mostly plowed fields and home construction sites. I have noticed that bullets I recover from plowed fields have less patina and are typically darker. Maybe the fertilizer?
