dug relic help

I have found something that I have no clue what it is. I think it is a powder bag cap, but I'm not sure. I've searched the internet and never found anything, but I may be searching the wrong thing.

This was found in the proximity of several civil war bullets and right beside something that we are keeping under wraps for now, but it was extremely special. If you can help me identify it, then it would be greatly appreciated.

Cool. I had a guy tell me it was the cap to a powder flask.

We have found some good stuff and still uncovering more each time we go. Found some bullet molds the other day. There was a confederate calvary that camped in the "area", but nobody ever knew where, well.... I think we've found that camp. They wasn't there but a night, so I don't know how much they dropped, but so far they have dropped a lot of stuff.... We're still looking.
