Hello New to the forum <am looking for help trying to identify this Iron ball,it Measures 2.1 on my calipers, Getting weight was on a small scale and I believe it came out to 7 ounces but I am not sure if the scale was 100 percent. this was found in a farm field located in Southeastern Wisconsin,I know there was a mill located in Milwaukee about 35 miles to the Northeast, I would have believed they would have transported iron by boat,
i also know there was a Civil War Fort located about 18 miles to
the east, Thus farm field is rural and well away from any buildings
Any help would be appreiciated
