Does anyone on here have any idea how the McClellan saddles differed from 1859 through the 1870's? If I posted pictures would someone be able to tell me what year this one is? I was told it was civil war era, but the saddles are so similar basically from 1859 to 1904 that it is virtually impossible for me to tell, knowing nothing about saddles in general. It does have side skirts, which according to a couple sources were NOT included in the 1870's and beyond models, but other than that the internet has not helped me at all here.
