I need a display ( Artillery ) idea.

Heres my delema.

I hunted a patch of land, and found only a few iron case shot.

I was wanting to make some kind of desk display using the 1/2 inch shot.

...and now my wisdom.......

I thought about buying one of those firecraker shooting small replica cannons. Seems like they come in several varities. Some are .58 cal.

They are small, scale wise I think around 1/64th ? Half a shoebox or so.

I think a stack of the Iron Shot, Cannon perched on a wood base would be a great desktop item.

It would represent the land he owns, and the Battle that took place on it.

PS: Where can I pick up a cannon? I seen some in T.A.P.C.O. for $20, but shipping was crazy.

On E-bay, use the Search function for the Civil War category and type in the word "cannon." Always quite a few miniature cannons there. Some are specifically Confederate.

Gotta say I think your idea of using your iron case-shot balls for a stack of cannonballs alongside a miniature cannon is waaay-cool.
