My wife won a door prize while she was giving blood today at the university! Fate works in funny ways, thank goodness for Avery Island Louisiana! :up

Hey thats cool !

I tried the Tabasco "Calhouns" resturant smokey hot sauce yesterday.

It was actually pretty good, atleast on wings.

Hi Frank
I haven’t tried the smokey hot sauce yet but I will now. I want to try this Garlic grilling marinating sauce, it sounds real good for Shrimp! Guess I will fire up the grill Saturday, anybody who shows up here in “Nawlins” will get fed!
:D

This is making me hungry for ol’ Dixie land! You must excuse me--I’m being hit with waves of nostalgia these days. Hey, I just discovered (guess I usually don’t swear and curse in my writing) that there’s some kind of automatic censoring on this site: I had typed the exclamatory “D” word, and it changes to “darn”—how strange.

Hi Ya Horace
If you are hungry for Dixie Land food you should have been with me Saturday night.
Peg took me to dinner at the Hotel Monteleone on Royal Street in the Quarter for my birthday!
I gorged myself with grilled Red Snapper with Shrimp & Crab sauce along with my favorite, Turtle soup and French bread. Peg had a wonderful filet of Beef with Crab Cakes appetizers.
After a bottle of wine and the fine food I was sitting fat and happy! 8)
Are you hungry now?
Oh yeh, the forum does prohibit bad language, that’s why I have to write everything three or four times!
:x

J'ai gros couer! It’s lunch time now, and the only gumbo for miles is at Red Lobster! I've just got to see New Orleans again--someday.

I don't use alot of hot sauce unless Im out on the town.

I grow a small batch of chillies and jalapeno peppers and smoke them each year.

One chilli for a large pizza, just the right amount of heat. You can't shake the red pepper shaker like you do at the pizza joints with this stuff!

Just ate some cheese dip with my smoked jalapeno's mixed with some slasa. mmmmmm

Usually I keep a good sauvignon blanc around for the southwest meals. Keeps the heat down in your stomach.

Are those Serrano’s that are ripening?
Man smoked Chipotle’s on the grill are the best!
I grow hot Banana’s to eat fresh and Tabasco’s to dry and grind for the shaker. I also grow some bright red cow horns that will light you up like a Christmas tree! Here is some cherry tomatoes and ripe Banana’s that came out of the garden.
Mo Hotter, Mo Better!!!

Their Super Chilli Peppers, and their hot. I was told it wasn't a real hot pepper, but mine are. Lots of flavor in such a little dude. They are alot hotter than my jalo's.

LOL, they look kind of pitiful dried and smoked. Not the glorious pepperz they once were, haha.

You really have to handle them with rubber gloves at this point. Soap and water don't do much to get them off your hands.
If you don't your going to touch something you don't want burned.

HANDLE WITH CARE !

dont they have the carousel bar?? the one that rotates. In all my time in NOLA, even living there, i never went into the Monteleone. Kinda like, ive never been to Graceland, even though I was an Elvis fan as a kid, and have been to Memphis 100 times, and lived in Tupelo
