Metal Detecting Sites Gettysburg???

Yes I'm Planning On Taking a Trip To Gettysburg I Live In NJ:-( It Takes Me About 2 1/2 hrs to get to Gettysburg. I Know Metal Detecting On The Battlefield Is Equivalent To Suicide... I'm Wondering If Anybody Knows of any Spots Where I Could Detect Without breaching the battlefield Boundaries...And If anybody knows anyone who could give me advice in town or the general area of places to hunt. Thanks
