Hello Friends,
I haven't been digging much because of the drought and only the same old places to dig. I got a new machine a few months back and been trying to figure it out. I did go digging today back to "The Red House" for the first time in over 3 year. The Quattro has a good nose on her as I dug 5 shotgun brass (3" to 4" inches deep that had previously been missed), 12 blobs of melted lead, 3 modern bullets and the scan shows the keepers of the day. Nothing special but only my 5th or 6th .58 Cal. Machined Grooves MM355. I was digging one of those uncertain signals when out came the arrowhead.....glad I dug.

Thanks For Looking, HH, Roger

Quattro Magico

Hey Rog -

All I wanna know is what setting were you using when you hit the arrowhead? I sure wish I could find one or two of those with my machine! LOLOLOL

The round balls are about the nicest dug examples I've seen, then again, I'm a newby.

Glad you finally got yourself out of the boat and into the field again. Keep'em coming. Nice finds.

Beautiful Adena point :D . Thousands and thousands of holes and I've still never popped up an arrowhead by accident. Then again, I've only found one minie while looking for points. Nice finds. HH Lou

Those are some truly beautiful items!

I'm new to this: just joined the list. What sort of detectors do y'all use? Where do you search? Anyone! :p

It Must Be The Quattro?

Hey Lou in VA,
This is my second Indian Arrowhead accidentally found within the last 3 months with the new Minelab Quattro. I'm trying to get the feel of the machine and digging some unknown signals (used an analog machine for years). I did find a Prehistoric Sharks Tooth while digging a signal at a CW Camp in South Corinth, MS. On this same property I popped out an Arrowhead from a fire pit as well!

I'll take'em as they come, HH, Roger

Hello Roger,
Regret not being in touch sooner. Very nice arrow head! In a pre-Revolutionary War/Rev War site I dug a musket flint back in the early 1970's on a musket ball signal. We also dug pieces of clay pipe stems in the holes of metal signals. This was on the southern GA coast.

Keep up the good work!
Your Pard,
Gary
