need ID on this buckle please

I found this buckle in Nashville, TN on Friday Jan. 4th. I asked about it at the Middle TN Metal Detecting Club meeting that day, and I was told that it was Confederate. He said it was modified by having the second clasp added. I am looking for confirmation on that. Also if anyone can give me an approximate value, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for all your help in my past relic questions.

A little added info on the buckle. I took my trusty toothbrush to it and found the words "solid brass" on it. Don't know if this helps or not, but that is the only mark I can find on it.
