New metal detecting website

Hi all,

it has been some time I posted here but the "older" readers might still recall. My name is Thorsten and I search in Germany using a metal detector.

Some months ago I have launched my own private MD website. The language is English. If you would like to see some European relics, please have a look and see whether something is interesting for you. My main search area is battlefield searching, in particular World War 2.

The homepage starts here
http://www.adventurehistory.com

The quickest overview is the selected finds/catalogue section which is found here. Just select your favourite period from the third line.

Rather popular are WW2 firearms finds which are shown here

As the focus of this forum are 19. century firearms the following links might be of interest.

Besides showing find pictures like all MD websites this one also gives search reports with many background information. If you do not mind longer articles please check out this

Very interesting stuff Thorsten and so well documented (you must be German with your attention to detail!). I posted a link to your site on another relic metal detecting site and hope you get lots of hits.

Hello emike123,

thank you for your kind words and for helping to "promote" the site. So far it was received very well by the international history community and even got hits from such remote places as Greenland or the Seychelles. And yes, it received many visits from the forum you mentioned.

Greetings from Germany,
Thorsten
