New Place and New Finds 11-23 & 11-24-2005

I finally knocked on some more doors this week and gained new permission. This place has been hunted before but I guess those guys didn't like digging brass or .69 cal. round balls? I found about 10 pound of Old Home Place related brass along with the items shown in the scans along with several shotgun brass and Zinc lids. I went back today (11-25-2005) looking for the other piece but it hasn't shown yet......must be in someones collection from a previous dig. I found a few items but not that much.

Im not sure but I think the 1934 penny is post civil war :)

I planned on getting out this weekend, but the crud got me.

Hey Frank, I hunt the Shiloh, TN to Corinth, MS campaign mostly and the wreath was found in McNairy County, TN. No luck with the tongue so far.....I hunted 5 1/2 hours after finding the wreath and again the next day for about 4 hours. I haven't gone back since. It's going to rain all weekend (and we need it) and calling for rain Thursday! I'm off Friday, Saturday & Sunday.....guess where I'll be?
