RAW's finds on 12-24-2006

I got out for a little while yesterday. Returned to the same general area as the last dig. Many, many steps over this hunted to death area but I still find a little stuff. The one piece button is back marked *RICH GOLD* COLOR and came from a Camp deep in the woods. The .69 round and the buck came from the same hole.

For a hunted out area your still finding some nice lead and brass! WTG! Pretty cool you found that buck and ball in same hole, there should be 2 more buckshot close by if this was a drop. You know, the two brass items at lower right corner of pic may very well go to a shoulder scale, not sure but I think it might be. All around, you found some cool relics! Great job!

Thanks for looking & your post. The item is not a turn key for attaching an Epaulet (Shoulder Scale) but I've found several like this one in the same general area. I'm not sure what they went on......thinking a carpet bag?? If anyone know for sure, please let me know!
