Terrorist Attacks

Our hearts go out to all those families that have been torn apart by this senseless and cowardly act.

Terrorism is in fact a cowardly yellow act perpetraited by the lowest form on earth. There is no sense of honor in the world anymore. When my Great Great Grandfather fell in line of battle with Hoods Division under Colonel Manning to take the devils den, he and his comrads fought and some died for their beliefs. I fought a war with no honor myself. I fought not to defend my home but to liberate an oppressed people. I witnessed a lot of terroristic action and believe that anyone who would commit such an atrocity or support it should die the worst immaginable kind of death. The only thing a terrorist ever gave me was a Purple Heart. There are several things I would like to give some of them though. Somebody kick this soap box out from under me!!!

I glad to hear from you. I am sure the rest our members thanks for your sacrifice and patriotism go out to you.

Thanks for serving when the thanks did not go out. I served in Kosovo and somewhat see the lack of thanks, but never saw the same degree of injuries.

What's your MOS. I was a 31C radio operator, then a Medic in an ambulance co. and a walking medic for grunts and later served a M60. Where ya at in Germany? Been there twice myself. Reforger '90 the first time at Baumholder and then at Graffenvere.

GOD and Country HooAhh

I am a 62B or field surgeon, but I am going to flight school this summer to be a flight surgeon.

I loved Germany when I was there. I always wanted to take the family. When we was at baumholder putting up tents, this old German fellow came out to the field we were in and told us that it had been the Red Barons secret runway in WWI. Wish I had a detector then.

I was in an ambulance company in the Gulf.

I will soon be separating from this grand army to go out into the real world. Well, there army is real, but I 'd rather be free from moving so often.

I feel very sorry for the loss of life and all that lost a loved one in the attacks.

But I ask the question in light of the American Taliban who openly went to Afganistan prior to the US involvement or war on terrorism. He was actively engaged in fighting the northern alliance, OK. My deal is this how can they try him when in 1966 Jane (Hanoi) Fonda went to North Viet Nam, pointed an anti-aircraft gun skyward, turned POW's in who tried to slip out notes of being tortured and others who would not visit with her and they were also tortured more and not try her?

Just a Viet Nam vet asking the question>

I understand what you're sayin'. I only in the past year or so learned all of the details of what went on at the "Hilton" when jane visited. There should have been something done about it. I have always respected and admired vets since I was young. My family has served in every major war in U.S. History since the Civil War except WWI. All of us who served did so proudly and actions like those of jane fonda's are a blight on the flag or homes we fought for. I recieved an e-mail last october that was being sent around to educate the people about her. The man who initiated it was one of the survivors of the beatings at the hilton because of her. He was calling for a boycott and stoppage of her being nominated as one of the women of the last century.

What makes me maddest is that when things like this happen, I can't do anything about it. GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR WE ARE BROTHERS IN ARMS!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree GIJOE.

I ahve often been troubled by the fact that Jane Fonda was not prosecuted properly for what she did. Being a service member, I am biased on the American Taliban - I think he should be hung twice - once in NY and once at the pentagon. Unfortunately that is impossible - we can't hangem twice and it is not considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Well, if we can't kil him, her better not see the light of day again and if he does, I get the feeling he will get his rather quickly. I think someone will pay to have him capped professionaly. There are over 3,000 families without a loved one who might be more than will to do it.
