My best finds

Careful Rodney!
Kim & I know where you live! 8)
We may just pay you a visit in the middle of the night and salt your hunting grounds with a ton of old shotgun shells!

Danny,

I know where Rodney lives..... I just don't remember how to get there! I was riding with him when I was down in Atlanta and he took me the round-about way of getting there..... blaming it on the traffic. I'm surprised I wasn't blindfolded as we left the Atlanta city limits. I'm probably not gonna start much trouble with him...... he was pretty tight with the Wildman Dent Myers.

I've not been much of a coin hunter but am looking to get into it.

I have come to the realization that I'm about 25-30 years too late getting into this hobby to find a lot of silver coins. I've read stories about people who got into this back in the 70's and they really racked up hitting those old schools. There's still some out there but they are few and far between. Your best bet is to travel out of the city to some old country school hidden behind a hill somewhere or get permission to hunt private land in old neighborhoods. I drive around downtown regularly to see if there are any construction projects going on. Other than that, it's school yards and parks hoping to find a nice ring now and then, the occasional silver coin and a pocket full of clad most days.

Here's three years worth of clad. Probably at least $300 in that jar. I'm sure that didn't even pay for my gas but as they say, "At least I got to get out."

Padmaster,
