    Nautilus Metal Detectors?

Yes, as much as it pains me to write this, I have decided to yet again purchase another metal detector. First let me explain some history... I started with a Fisher 1236-x2 and this was one awesome detector, the depth wasn't quite deep enough, but I really enjoyed it. I decided to sell it and...

    Alternatives to McKee and Mason

I know that this topic has been brought up before but, I was just wondering what other books are out there about identifying bullets. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Your Favorite Metal Detector?

I just wanted to do a little poll on here and see what type of Metal Detector people favor the most! For simplicity I'm only going to run the poll for White's Electronics, Fisher, and Minelab. Also feel free to post any feature that you like the best about a certain one, ease of use, or the...

Please Help Me ID My Button

I found this today and I don't know if it is a civil war period button or WW1, WW2. At first I thought it may be some type of Calvary rosette but I don't know. I found the back of the button (I think it is anyway?) about four feet away. While digging I found a few coins and a shot bullet, but...

    Please Help me ID this.

I found this near Savannah, TN. I have absolutely no clue what it is, if anyone wants pictures of the back I will try to get them posted. Its a little bigger than a half dollar. The back as two little hooks on it as if it was attached to something. Any help will be appreciated.

    New Finds for 1-16-05

I found these today with Ripley Rebel, except for the item on the far left and in the middle. If anyone could help me identify it I would greatly appreciate it. It looks like some kind of pin of some sort to me but I don't know. I was gonna post a picture of the back of it but my camera ran out...

New Finds and Relic ID Help.

I found these at a old but reliable campsite, it seems every time I go here I at least find a bullet. It could have been better though, my hunting partner found a enfield trigger with the guard still attached. I guess you can't always find the good stuff. Anyhow maybe some of you experts can...

    Metal Detecting Sources

Yes I was just curious if any of ya'll experts could help me find some sources for some of my research, I am stuck in a rut right now in finding good sites to go. I use the Official Records of the Civil War and cross reference them with old and new maps to find spots, but most the places I find...

    Dug US Belt Buckle

This is a pic of a fairly nice buckle dug by my hunting partner. We found it on an old "hunted out" road bed. I guess it just goes to show you that you can't always find everything. We also pulled some bullets and other assorted things from the ground.[/img]
